When we are not expressing ourselves authentically in relationships, we move out of alignment from the TRUTH of who we are and we begin to live a lie. Gradually, you drift into a distorted and artificial reality.
Living in alignment with our truth means harmonizing our thoughts, words, and actions with the essence of our soul. Without deep authenticity, life loses its vibrancy and becomes flaccid—disconnected from the exhilarating pulse of what’s real.
It could be faking interest in a job because it pays the bills (and convince yourself that it is perfectly OK to devote your life force to something that ultimately drains you of your vitality), maintain a friendship because you feel obligated, or stay in a romantic partnership because it offers security or convenience. You might think there's no harm done here, but when you neglect to live in your truth and lie to yourself (and others), the consequences manifest in the body.
For a biological woman, the root of her truth is nestled in her womb-space.
There is an in depth connection between the throat, the heart and the cervix (the cervix is a reflexology point to the heart and it serves as the bridge between the throat and womb). The throat governs our ability to communicate and express our truth. So when I work with clients who are navigating throat blockages which can manifest as tightness in the neck and shoulders, challenges with speaking up for oneself, expressing their desires, conflict in communication, etc. I ask, to their surprise, "how's your womb health?"
"Why?" they ask.. because the throat and pelvic floor mirror each other in structure and function. In the early stages of embryonic development, the vocal cords and ovaries begin as a single organ before dividing.
Your cervix (which translates to neck in Latin), nestled between the realms of life (birthing) and death (menstruation), is far more than anatomy; she is a gateway, a keeper of history, emotion, and energy. When we don't express our truth, the energetic field within and around the cervix stagnates.
Professor Erik Odeblad recognized her complexity, calling the cervix “a precision organ as complex as the eye.” Just as the eyes capture everything we see, the cervix attunes to everything we feel. Every sensation, every chapter of your life is imprinted upon her. Through her, you are invited to tap into a primal gnosis, a deeper knowing beyond the mind.
As above, so below.
Here are some tools you can use to nurture the throat-cervix axis:
Truth journaling: Dive deep into the heart of your desires with radical honesty. Perhaps it's the longing to embark on a new career path, or leave a relationship that no longer serves you. Maybe it's an unspoken erotic desire you're hesitant to share with your partner. Unearth the essence of what you truly want, and explore the origins of these desires. Are they rooted in your authentic truth, or do they stem from past wounds or trauma?
Chanting and toning: Engage in vocal practices such as chanting, singing, humming or toning to activate the throat. This helps release stagnant energy and strengthen the connection between the throat and cervix.
Conscious breathing: Practice deep, slow breathing techniques, focusing on the throat and pelvic regions. This can help stimulate energy flow between these areas, promoting balance and alignment. Breathe into your hips, not just your belly.
Creative visualization: Imagine a radiant channel of golden-white light connecting your throat and cervix. Visualize this energy gracefully flowing down to your womb and rising back up to your throat.
When you allow your truth to flow freely, you create space for deep healing and transformation.
The truth shall set you free.
